About the Teacher Training

Are you a yoga teacher called to work with women at the threshold of birth and beyond?

In this 90-hour training, we bridge the gap between ancient feminine wisdom and modern birthing science, through the lens of yoga. While we explore how the Elements function during preconception, pregnancy and postpartum incorporating Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the core of this training is a rigorous review of modern birthing science. We deepen our understanding of the entire birth process with evidence-based research, focusing heavily on pelvic health optimization, core stability, and biomechanics.

Our curriculum focuses on strategically optimizing the body for birth and actively rebuilding it afterward, all supported by a comprehensive student manual cited against peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Following this certification, you will be equipped to safely teach pre/postpartum yoga using trauma-aware principles, inspire women for an empowered birth experience, support their entrance into matrescence, and honor these sacred life passages with sensitivity, wisdom, and connection.

WHY THIS TRAINING IS DIFFERENT

Most prenatal yoga trainings focus on pose modifications and safety guidelines, however this training will go deeper.

1. Beyond Modifications You will learn to optimize the body for birth, not just adapt poses. This includes:

  • Diaphragmatic breathing for nervous system regulation, birth, and recovery
  • Pelvic health woven through each module
  • Biomechanical approaches for preparation of the body
  • Core training specific to pregnancy
  • Mobility work and embodied movement distinct from traditional yoga

2. Equal Postpartum Focus Many trainings treat postpartum as an afterthought or give little hours to its inclusion. We dedicate equal time to the postpartum mother:

  • Diastasis recti assessment and management
  • Core re-stabilization protocols
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction screening and management
  • Emotional terrain of matrescence and birth trauma

3. East-West Integration We balance cyclical wisdom with science:

  • Ayurveda and TCM for understanding the Elements during these life stages
  • Evidence-based research on the entire birth process
  • Guest lectures by women's health physiotherapists and birth workers

4. Clinical Depth Content reviewed by pelvic health professionals. Instructor background includes midwife assistant and childbirth educator experience. Entire training cited against peer-reviewed scientific literature in your 220-page student manual.

WHO THIS TRAINING IS FOR

  • Yoga teachers with a 200-hour RYT (or equivalent experience of practice) who want to specialize in women's health with clinical depth
  • Birth workers (doulas, midwives, childbirth educators) who have a yoga practice and seek somatic and movement tools to complement their offerings
  • Pelvic health practitioners (physiotherapists, osteopaths) who have a yoga practice and want to integrate embodied movement into their care
  • Yoga teachers ready to move beyond "safe modifications" into body optimization and physiological preparation for pregnancy, birth and postpartum

WHO THIS TRAINING IS NOT FOR

  • General yoga practitioners seeking a quick certification or weekend workshop
  • Those uncomfortable with medical model discussions, evidence-based protocols or the details of birth
