About the Workshops

This 3-day immersion introduces the Find & Fix Mobility Method™ a smart, structured approach that blends yoga, modern mobility science, and hand-balancing principles to create real, lasting change in the body.

Rather than simply stretching or repeatedly drilling shapes, participants learn how to identify their personal mobility limitations, understand why certain poses or skills feel restricted, and apply targeted, intelligent mobility strategies to unlock strength, control, and freedom of movement—safely and sustainably.

About the Teacher

John Lizcano (@john_urbanyoga) is an international yoga teacher and movement educator based in Bangkok, known for integrating biomechanics, joint-focused mobility, and intelligent sequencing into contemporary yoga practice. He is an FRC® & FRA® Mobility Specialist and brings a gymnastics background and handbalancing techniques to his teaching, refining strength, alignment, and active flexibility through clear progressions that prioritize longevity.

After teaching across multiple countries and working with a wide range of bodies and movement backgrounds, John recognized that lasting progress comes from understanding individual structure and needs, not forcing one method onto everyone. This led him to develop an assessment-led approach that helps practitioners identify their specific mobility limitations, refine movement mechanics, and apply targeted strategies to improve capacity in the shoulders, hips, and spine without sacrificing flow.

John has taught classes, workshops, and trainings internationally across China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Spain and is excited to bring his method to Singapore, offering a workshop designed to upgrade both personal practice and teaching skills through precise, sustainable movement.

Masterclass: Intelligent Flow Mobility Foundations
This opening session introduces the principles behind modern mobility training and how it differs from traditional flexibility work. Through guided drills using bands, blocks, and bodyweight resistance, students will experience how small structural adjustments immediately change range and control.

This session builds the lens through which the rest of the weekend will be understood.

Handstand Diagnostics & Shoulder Intelligence
Handstands are not just a strength skill; they are a mobility skill expressed under load. This session dives deep into the alignment and proprioception needed to hold a handstand. Participants will find out why their handstand progression feels stuck, where they lack strength and where the limitation really is in their bodies.

2pm - 5pm 
Intelligent Programming for Handstand Progression
Once limitations are identified, we build solutions. This session focuses on designing mobility drills based on previous assessment findings. Participants will develop a structured handstand mobility sequence tailored to their body -- no random drills, no guesswork. This is a reputable system for long-term progression.

Backbends, Spinal Mechanics & Hip Extension
Participants will learn how to protect the lumbar spine while increasing usable range. They will asses things such as segmental spinal mobility, active vs passive lumbar extension, hip flexor strength at long length, glute engagement in extension and anterior chain control. 
24 May Sun
2pm - 5pm 
Active Flexibility & Split Mechanics
Splits are not passive shapes — they are strength expressions at long muscle lengths. The final session integrates hamstring and hip flexor functional assessment, as well as internal and external rotation influence on split depth. Learn how to program splits safely into a yoga or mobility practice.
